Brief Bio[]
I'm a twenty-something plant geek who enjoys computers too. More about what I do can be found on LinkedIn.
Skills[]
- Online: I've been using the net for about 15 years. I almost never surf, never really understood how folks spend so little time outside in the fresh air when it is summer!
- Open Source: I started learning about unix and later linux in high school, 15 years ago. Seemed like a good idea at the time. :) I've never been very closely involved in the community until the last couple of years. I work for a non-profit whose primary records db is an opensource project. Oh, and I support LTSP and windows terminals/boxxen for work every day.
- Programming: Touched on programming a little in high-school/college. I don't do much of it, and I know plenty of folks faster and more adept than I I'd rather turn to if pressed.
- Teaching: I teach every day. That's about half of my job in tech support, fixing things in such a way that the user learns what happened and how to either repeat the process or not do it again, depending.
What I Hope To Learn at FOSSCoach[]
I don't have anything concrete I'd like to learn. I'd like to see what projects are being worked on, and where a effectively non-programmer could fit into those processes.

I hope to share my patience, and passions. :)
