Often people tiptoe into online communities, and get rebuffed by the sheer amount of complexity, and daunting nature of the experience. This talk will present some ideas that users who have started in projects like the Mozilla project have employed to their advantage and to their disadvantage. We'll cover several different media such as wiki's, bug systems, instant messaging (including IRC), and email.
